Smoothness Index Data tool

A 0–100 quantitative score for finish quality — so the result of a harvest is a number, not a feeling. The index underpins the SmoothFinish R&D program: if finish quality can't be measured objectively, it can't be improved systematically. Built into Monster Command software.

Why it's different

Decisions from real data, not a desk

Most cultivation products are designed in a lab, tested briefly, and sold without ongoing documentation. Medi Monster products are developed alongside an active rooftop grow in Seattle, measured continuously with our own software, and refined as the data accumulates.

We don't claim more than we've measured. The Smoothness Index exists so that "better finish" is a number, not marketing language.

Grown on a real rooftop, not in a brochure

Every product in the lineup is being used on our own Seattle rooftop grow. The environment is monitored, the plants are tracked, and the results are logged — not estimated.

Measured with software we built

Monster Command is our internal R&D platform — sensor integration, plant lifecycle tracking, genetics records, and the Smoothness Index all in one place. We use it every day.

Active genetics research program

Pacific Northwest cannabis genetics aren't just a product category for us — they're the whole point. We document traits, track lineage, and plan breeding decisions with data rather than intuition.

Honest about what's validated

SmoothFinish is bench-validated and in live R&D trial. Pixie Bloom is early-stage. We label them accurately — because inflated claims aren't science, and our researchers and collaborators will hold us to the data.

Peer-review-grade research, not folklore

Most cultivation "best practices" are repeated but never tested. We run controlled, pre-registered experiments to find what actually works — our first is the first peer-review-grade study of FIM, a technique millions of growers use that has zero prior published research. Designed to publish, and built toward university collaboration.

Monster Command

The software behind the science

Monster Command is our internal cultivation-management and R&D platform. It connects sensor data from the rooftop, tracks every plant's lifecycle, logs genetics decisions, and runs the Smoothness Index — all with an AI assistant (Kai) available throughout.

It's the instrument we use to make decisions. Because if you can't see the data, you're guessing.

It's also the ledger. Every input — each watering, feeding, IPM action, observation, photo, and cost — is captured as one timestamped, exportable feed from seed to harvest, with Kai filing the entries as you talk. We run our own R&D on it today; the roadmap opens it to other researchers and growers as a multi-tenant platform.

Cannabis Genetics, LLC — Seattle, WA

Medi Monster is the brand of Cannabis Genetics, LLC, a Pacific Northwest company doing genetics R&D on cannabis — not as a grow operation, but as a science project with a product line attached. We make cultivation inputs and tools because building them is how we do the research; selling them is how we share what we learn.

We're based in Seattle and doing our initial work on a rooftop grow — a controlled, documented environment where every round generates data. Our software platform (Monster Command) is the ledger — every input logged seed-to-harvest in one exportable record. Our Smoothness Index is the ruler. The product line is the experiment.

We run that ledger on our own grow every day. The roadmap opens it to other researchers and growers as a multi-tenant platform — the same audit-ready, seed-to-finish record, designed to grow into the inventory, compliance, and books layers over time.

We're in early innings, and we're honest about that. The science is real. The data is real. The claims are bounded by what we've actually measured.
